Here is a DIY suggestion to clean the battery terminals at home. You can use a small amount of baking soda to neutralize the acid on the dirty battery terminal. Add a small amount of water to activate the baking soda. Clean the area dry with a paper towel. If any residue remains, you can use a sponge to remove the rest.
